Our main day-ticket and match water. An island down the middle, a gravel bar off the far bank and a deep channel that holds fish through the winter. Every peg fishes, which is why the clubs keep coming back.

Tactics that work

  • Method feeder to the island from pegs 5–9

Tactics that work

  • Whip and maggot anywhere along the near bank
  • Waggler over groundbait for the roach
  • Small pellet against the island for the crucians
  • Nothing heavier than 4lb line, it's not that sort of lake

Our specimen water, and the reason a lot of people join. Sixty carp in four acres, heavy weed, snags along the east bank and fish that have seen most things before. Night fishing permitted for members all year.
